Can I use other companies' dies in the Spellbinders Wizard?

How do I use Sizzix™ Originals dies with my Wizard machine? (Also applies to Zip’e Slims™, Compact Dies by Cross-Cuts®, Thick Cuts by Ellison Design™, Sizzix™ Bigz or other steel rule dies.)

Start with Spellbinders Universal Cut Mat (the white cut mats included with the Wizard). Place the paper to be cut on top of the mat. Then, place the die, blade down on top of the paper. Please Note: As of January 1, 2006 the Sizzix® Cuts-n-Folds™ Dies do not seem to work consistently well with the Wizard System.

How do I use Sizzlets or Cuttlebug™ dies with my Wizard machine? (Also applies to Thin Cuts by Ellison Design or other low profile dies.)

Start with one of the thick white master cut mats included with the Wizard machine. Then place the paper down with the die foam side down on top of it. Finish with the other white master cut mat on top. Please note: Sizzlet™ dies that are longer than eight inches will not work with the Wizard System.

How do I use QuickKutz® dies with my Wizard machine? (Also applies to Zip’eCuts™, Zip’eSnaps™, SAR™ (Some Assembly Required), BossKuts® or other low profile dies.)

If you have a Raspberry Wizard place the Magnetic Spacer Mat magnetic side up on top of a White Master Mat. If you have a Purple Wizard layer the White Spacer Plate on top of the White Master Mat. Place the die blade or foam side up on Magnetic Space Mat or White Spacer Plate depending on your machine. Next position the paper over the die. Finally, add the other White Master Mat.

How do I use a Fiskars Texture Plate in the Wizard?

Start with the White Master Mat. Next lay down the Fiskars Texture Plate and paper. Complete the sandwich with the Tan Emboss Pad and Blue Emboss Mat.

How do I use a Cuttlebug™ Embossing Folder in the Wizard?

Using a Cuttlebug™ Embossing Folder is slightly different depending on the model of your machine. For Purple Wizards, simply sandwich the CuttlebugTM Embossing Folder with paper inside between the two White Master Mats. For the Raspberry Wizard, start with a White Master Mat. Add the CuttlebugTM Embossing Folder with paper inside. Next, cover it with a Tan Emboss Pad. Complete the sandwich with a Blue Emboss Mat.
